How to make papdi gathia at home?

Papdi Gathiya, gram flour stir fried crisps, is a popular Gujarati breakfast. Served with green chutney, fried green chillies or mix carrot, raw papaya and cabbage julienne; papdi gathia
makes for a perfect  snack in Gujarat.


Today we share with you the recipe to make delectable papdi gathiya at home

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups Chickpea flour (Besan) 
  2. 1 table spoon Black Pepper powder
  3. 1 table spoon Baking Soda
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 cup Food Oil 
  6. 2 cup Water 
  7. 1 table spoon Asafetida (Hing)
  8. Food Oil to fry 

Receipe

  1. First take chickpea flour in mixing bowl.
  2. Add salt, soda, pinch of Asafetida(hing) and black pepper powder, food oil and water in the flour.
  3. Knead the dough. Make dough soft and place on to frying spoon.
  4. Take pan and heat food oil at medium flame.
  5. Press frying spoon to make papadi gathiya.
  6. When papadi gathiya become crispy, take out to dish. And sprinkle black pepper powder and Asafetida (hing).
  7. Enjoy the delicacy.
